Who it's for

The refresher tier, for learners almost ready to pass.

Provisional is our shortest course, and it's deliberately not for everyone. It's a sharpening tool, not a starting point. Here's how to know if it fits.

This is for you if…

  • You recently fell just short. A narrow fail on one or two faults, you know what to fix.
  • You're a returning or lapsed driver. You passed once, or drove abroad, and need to shake off the rust.
  • You've had substantial private practice. Plenty of hours behind the wheel; you just need professional polish.
  • You're confident on most skills. Manoeuvres and roads feel natural, it's the final 10% standing between you and a pass.

You'll want more hours if…

  • You've never driven. Complete beginners deserve the full programme, start with Elite.
  • You've only had a handful of lessons. There are real gaps to close, Advanced gives you room.
  • You're part-trained with patchy skills. Some lessons behind you but not test-ready, Improver is built for you.
  • You're not sure. That's normal. Tell us your history when you book and we'll recommend the honest right course, no upselling.

How it works

From booking to pass, in four steps.

No faff. We assess where you are, plan around your test, and put an expert beside you.

  1. Choose your hours

Pick 10 or 15 hours and tell us about your driving history. Unsure of your level? We'll give you an honest recommendation first.

  2. We assess & plan around your test

Your instructor reviews where you're at, targets the faults that matter, and shapes the hours around the test date you're aiming for.

  3. Your instructor picks you up

Expert, local, and in your chosen transmission. Lessons run on your schedule, on the roads you'll be tested on.

  4. Secure an early test & pass

You book your own test; we help you land an early date and walk in prepared. Then you're on the road for good.

Pace & scheduling

Fast and focused, or spread to suit you.

Same hours, your pace. With 10–15 hours, both routes are quick, pick the rhythm that fits around work, study and life.

Fully intensive

Done in days

Longer sessions packed close together, typically two to three days. Ideal when you want to stay sharp, build momentum, and get to your test fast.

4–5 hrs/day ~2–3 days Maximum momentum
Semi-intensive

Around your week

Shorter lessons across one to three weeks. The same total hours, spaced out so you can fit them around a job, college, or the school run.

2 hrs/session 1–3 weeks Flexible

Questions

Provisional, answered honestly.

The Provisional course suits learners already close to test standard, a recent narrow fail, a returning driver, or someone with plenty of private practice. As a rough guide, the DVSA finds most learners need around 45 hours of professional tuition in total. If you've already built up much of that, 10–15 focused hours can be enough to polish the gaps. Not sure? Tell us about your driving history when you book and we'll give you an honest steer before you pay, including pointing you to a longer course if that's the right call.
It happens, and we'd rather be straight with you than send you to a test you're not ready for. If your instructor feels you'd benefit from more time, you can top up in five-hour blocks at any point, you only pay for the additional hours, at the same rate. No penalty, no pressure. The goal is a confident, well-prepared test, not a rushed one.
Yes, within the current DVSA rules. Since 12 May 2026, course providers can no longer book a practical test on a learner's behalf, so you'll book and pay for your own test. What we do is help you secure an early slot: we point you to where dates are appearing, watch for cancellations, and, where available, offer a test-swapping service to move you onto a sooner date. We can't promise a specific date, but beating the standard wait is exactly what this course is built around.
Both. Tell us which you'd like when you book. A manual licence lets you drive both manual and automatic cars, while an automatic course is often quicker to pick up. Whichever you choose, you'll be matched with an instructor who teaches in that transmission.
GetMyPass covers most of the UK (excluding Northern Ireland). Instructor availability and pricing vary by area, so the quickest way to check is to enter your postcode when you book, you'll see availability and a local price straight away.
No, and be cautious of anyone who does. The DVSA examiner decides on the day, and no driving school can change that. What we can promise is honest, expert preparation: a plan built around your test, clear feedback on where you stand, and an instructor who'll tell you straight when you're ready. That's how you give yourself the best possible chance.

You've done the hard part.
Let's finish it.

Book your Provisional course, tell us your target date, and we'll build the last few hours around getting you tested and passed.
