Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 2026
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking any course or service through GetMyPass. By completing a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms in full.
1. Who We Are
GetMyPass is a driving course booking and coordination service that connects learners with DVSA-approved driving instructors across the UK. We act as an intermediary between learners and their assigned instructor. When you book with GetMyPass, you enter into two separate agreements: one with GetMyPass for course arrangement and administration, and one directly with your allocated driving instructor for the delivery of your driving tuition.
2. Course Information
GetMyPass offers intensive and semi-intensive driving courses designed to take learners from little or no experience through to test-ready standard in a condensed timeframe. Courses typically run over 1 to 8 weeks depending on the package selected and the learner’s existing ability.
All courses are delivered by independent DVSA-regulated Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs). GetMyPass is responsible for the booking and coordination of your course; your instructor is responsible for the delivery of your tuition.
Course start dates provided at the point of booking are provisional estimates and are not confirmed until your allocated instructor contacts you directly in writing. GetMyPass will make every reasonable effort to match learners with an instructor in a timely manner, but cannot guarantee exact commencement dates.
3. Deposits & Payment
A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your place and initiate the instructor matching process. The remaining course balance must be paid in full no later than 7 days before your course is due to begin. For learners under the age of 18, the full balance must be received no later than 28 days in advance of the start date.
Failure to pay the outstanding balance by the required deadline will incur a late payment fee of £350, and your course start may be delayed until full payment is received. The first 10 hours of tuition must always be pre-paid before any lessons can commence.
All payments must be made via the methods available at the time of booking. GetMyPass reserves the right to withhold lesson delivery until all outstanding amounts are settled in full.
4. Cancellation & Refund Policy
We understand that circumstances can change, and we aim to be as fair and transparent as possible. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- Within 14 days of booking (no instructor allocated): A full refund may be requested, minus any payment processing charges incurred.
- After instructor allocation: Your deposit is non-refundable. In exceptional circumstances, such as a verified medical condition or a bereavement, GetMyPass may, at its sole discretion, consider a partial refund or issue a course credit. An administration charge of £350 will apply in such cases.
- Change of personal circumstances: Changes to personal circumstances (including a change of address, work commitments, or a change of mind) do not qualify for a refund once an instructor has been allocated to your booking.
All refund or credit requests must be submitted in writing to info@getmypass.co.uk and will be reviewed at GetMyPass’s sole discretion.
5. Course Validity & Unused Hours
All course packages carry a fixed validity period, measured from the date your instructor is allocated:
- Starter packages: 4 months
- Standard packages: 5 months
- Premium & Ultimate packages: 6 months
Any unused tuition hours that remain at the expiry of your course validity period will be forfeited with no entitlement to a refund or credit. Extensions may be requested and are subject to an administration fee of £350. GetMyPass reserves the right to decline an extension request where a course has been inactive for a prolonged period.
6. Theory Test & Practical Driving Test
Where test booking is included in your chosen package, GetMyPass will arrange your practical driving test on your behalf. We are unable to guarantee a specific test date or testing centre, as availability is subject to DVSA scheduling. We will always endeavour to secure a test date that falls as close to your preferred timeframe as possible.
Your assigned instructor reserves the right to advise against, or decline to accompany you to, a practical test if they consider that you have not yet reached the required standard to pass safely. This decision is made entirely in your interest and does not entitle you to a refund of any tuition hours or test fees.
Free retest provision is available only within specific packages. Please review your package details carefully to confirm whether this is included.
7. Learner Obligations
By booking with GetMyPass, you agree to the following:
- Arrive at every scheduled lesson punctually and ready to drive, we recommend arriving at least 10 minutes early
- Hold a valid provisional driving licence for the vehicle category covered by your course
- Never drive under the influence of alcohol, medication, or any other substance that may impair your ability
- Treat your instructor and all GetMyPass staff with courtesy and respect at all times
- Notify your instructor as early as possible if you are unable to attend a scheduled session
- Complete any progress records or documentation requested by your instructor during the course
GetMyPass accepts no responsibility for lost tuition time or delays arising from a learner’s failure to comply with these obligations.
8. Health, Medical & Suitability
Intensive driving courses are demanding and fast-paced by nature. They require sustained concentration, mental stamina, and physical readiness over consecutive days of driving. They are not suitable for everyone.
If you have any medical condition, physical limitation, or learning difference that may affect your ability to safely operate a motor vehicle or to learn effectively in an intensive environment, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, dyslexia, or conditions on the autism spectrum, it is your responsibility to disclose this before booking and to seek medical guidance prior to proceeding.
GetMyPass instructors are fully qualified driving professionals; they are not specialist support workers and cannot be expected to provide adaptive educational support for complex learning needs. Where an instructor determines that a course cannot continue safely or effectively, GetMyPass reserves the right to suspend or terminate tuition without issuing a refund.
You are also legally required to notify the DVLA of any medical condition that may affect your fitness to drive.
9. Zero Tolerance Policy
GetMyPass maintains a strict zero tolerance policy in respect of abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or otherwise unacceptable behaviour directed at any instructor, member of staff, or third party associated with GetMyPass. This policy applies to all forms of communication, whether in person, over the phone, by email, or via social media.
Any learner found to be in breach of this policy will have their course immediately suspended or terminated. No refund of any fees paid will be issued in such circumstances.
10. Force Majeure
Neither GetMyPass nor your allocated instructor shall be held liable for any failure or delay in delivering tuition caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to, severe weather events, national emergencies, pandemics, strikes, government-imposed restrictions, or other unforeseen exceptional circumstances. In such cases, GetMyPass will work with affected learners to reschedule or issue a course credit, but no cash refunds will be issued solely on the grounds of force majeure.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GetMyPass’s total liability to any learner is limited to the amount paid for that learner’s course. We are not liable for any indirect, special, or consequential losses, including but not limited to loss of earnings, travel or accommodation costs, or any other expenses arising from delays or issues with course delivery.
12. Changes to These Terms
GetMyPass reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our services following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
