Driving lessons in Dundee: intensive vs weekly
Spacing lessons a week apart works if your only goal is to get to test standard eventually.
Dundee's test route does not really allow for eventually: the Myrekirk roundabout and the Kingsway dual carriageway are there from day one of a real test, and a five day gap between sessions is enough for the nerve of joining a 50 mph carriageway to fade before it becomes automatic. An intensive course over one to three weeks, by contrast, builds Clepington Road junctions, the Forfar Road bus lane stretches and Lochee's residential grid into consecutive days, so the transition from quiet street to ring road happens while it is still fresh. Deposits run from £180 for the shortest option up to £900 for a fuller course, based on a deposit rate of £18 per hour that secures your instructor's time, with lesson fees paid straight to your instructor rather than bundled into the deposit.
